Iacopo CASTAGNETTA
In few words
Iacopo has always tried to couple his interest in international relations with aligned working experiences. Among those, he worked for the Honorary Consulate of Greece in Italy (Venice), for the Veneto Region delegation in Brussels and for the international organization CIHEAM, headquartered in Paris, Bari branch. Iacopo has worked on EU projects for more than 2 years, addressing several issues related to: social empowerment (mostly women and minors), food and nutrition security and sustainable agriculture, renewable energy and energy storage.
Main achievements
-Contribution to the steering of EU Social networks (ENSA, ELISAN), AU-EU R&I partnerships on FNSSA (LEAP-Agri, FOSC, PRIMA, SCAR) and networks for EU batteries R&I ecosystem BatteriesEurope Secretariat);
- Organization of high-level SCAR workshop on R&I needs and priorities for AU-EU partnership on Jan. 20204;
- Organization of events for the EC on Science Diplomacy;
- Expertise in project writing, execution and management;
- Climate change activist.
